From a 0.91 hectare parcel situated “behind the church tower” in Gamay, planted with 40 year-old vines with south/southwest exposure. 100% de-stemmed. Fermented with native yeasts in stainless steel. 10% new oak. Aged 2 years in barrel.
William Kelly The Wine Advocate Jan 2024 90 POINTS - "Supple and charming, the 2021 Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Derrière La Tour bursts with notes of red berries, orange zest and spices, followed by a medium-bodied, supple palate with a plummy core of fruit and melting tannins. I suspect that this will be at its best in the comparatively near term."
