The wine has powdery tannins and impressive freshness, leading to a long, focused finish with mineral and spice echoes. Glass-staining violet. Displays expansive aromas of blackberry and boysenberry, with exotic spice, candied violet and incense notes building in the glass. Sappy and energetic on the palate, offering densely packed, mineral-tinged black and blue fruit and cherry liqueur flavors and a peppery nuance that adds back-end spiciness. It has a medium to deep ruby color and is scented of blueberry jam, boysenberries, baked blackberries and pie spices with touches of mint leaves, blood orange, charcuterie, pepper, grapefruit peel and flowers. The medium to full-bodied, very silky palate spreads its wings to red, blue and black fruits with pretty floral and citrus accents, with powdery tannins and fantastic freshness to lift the long, layered finish.
