This is a soft, elegant and easy drinking Merlot from selected vineyard sites around the medieval fortifications of Carcassonne in the south of France. Deep ruby red in colour, modern winemaking ensures that La Forteresse delivers instant pleasure with soft and supple, mouthfilling ripe fruit, a peppery nose and light tannins to balance.
Easy to drink as an aperitif and as an accompaniment to grilled or roasted meats, pasta with tomato based sauces and most cheeses. Vegan friendly.
