Mauricio Lorca Fantasia range are a great introduction to the quality of modern Argentine wines. 30% of the Malbec was oaked for complexity and a bit of body, the rest is unoaked for purity of fruit. Big cherry flavours with a little spice. Great value for everyday drinking at this price.
A great introduction to good Argentine Malbec, from Mauricio Lorca, one of Argentina’s most prominent winemakers. As well as his own wines, Mauricio is also a consultant winemaker for several other wineries in Mendoza including Enrigue Foster and Eral Bravo.
A really expressive, dark and rather serious Malbec for the money with masses of plush black fruit on the nose and all the freshness on the palate that the Uco Valley will give to the right winemaker. Superb, great value Malbec. Highly recommended.
