Description

When Pascale and Pierre Gaillard arrived in Malleval in 1981, everything remained to be done. Pierre began by clearing and planting his first vines at Clos de Cuminaille in the Saint-Joseph appellation.
Since then, he has built a twenty-five-hectare vineyard with his own hands on the steepest slopes of the northern Rhône Valley.
Considered by his peers and seasoned tasters as a leading figure in the northern Rhône Valley, Pierre now works closely with his three children. Together, they continue the Gaillard style by producing full-bodied wines that are always marked by finesse and elegance.
The palate is vibrant, punchy and spicy with a soft and silky finish. It will certainly keep opening and gaining flesh. Drink it over the next 3-4 years.
