Since 2017 Pio Cesare produces their 'Fides' Barbera d’Alba Superiore exclusively from 60 years old vines in the Mosconi cru, in Monforte d'Alba. After fermentation in stainless still tanks the wine ages in wooden casks and a small percentage in barriques. The resulting wine is a Barbera of great concentration and structure, able to age in bottle for a very long time.
