Description
Château de Meursault, a historic Burgundy estate with impressive vineyard holdings, is renowned for its classic, terroir-driven white wines. The 2023 vintage in Burgundy saw good ripeness and excellent freshness, producing wines of balance and charm. After manual sorting, pressing, and settling, the alcoholic fermentation in oak barrels lasts 10 days. Then, the wine is aged on lees for 12 months (25% new oak barrel, oak barrels of one or two years). During the first 6 months, stirring on lees twice a month reveals richness and complexity.
This Meursault from their Les Grands Charrons vineyard offers ripe lemon, hazelnut, and delicate white flowers, underpinned by a stony minerality. On the palate, it delivers a wonderfully rich yet vibrant experience; creamy textures mingle with flavours of citrus zest, toasted almond, and a hint of butter. A refreshing acidity provides excellent balance. The finish is long and elegant, leaving a lingering impression of fruit and minerality, promising good evolution.
