Clos des Lunes 'Lune d'Argent' is produced by Olivier Bernard and the winemaking team at Domaine de Chevalier. A blend of 70% Sémillon and 30% Sauvignon Blanc from 65-hectares of vineyards split between the sub-zones of Sauternes (adjacent to Ch. Yquem!), Bommes as well as Barsac, each adding power, freshness and minerality respectively. It is a stunning wine, with stunning pedigree.
Bright pale gold colour. Nose of wild white flowers mixed with pulpy white fruits, citrus fruits and fresh aromatic herbs with a touch of star anise. Ample taste of Sémillon with delicate and tasty flesh which harmoniously recalls the complex aromas of the nose. Refined finish. This wine from a very sunny vintage will be appreciated perfectly on the passion and freshness of its youth.
In organic conversion 3rd year. 70% Sémillon, 30% Sauvignon.
