Originally planted by the DuNah famiy in 1998, David Gensler is now at the helm both living on and farming the property.

The 2021 Chardonnay Mes Filles Vineyard comes from 25-year-old vines planted at 500 feet in altitude in Goldridge soils. It has inviting scents of allspice, white peach, quince and meringue with undertones of honey, roasted almonds and matchstick. The medium-bodied palate is bursting with layered flavors! It's balanced by vibrant freshness, and a gentle textural grip extends the finish. 260 cases were made.

Originally planted by the DuNah family in 1998, this site is only about 0.5 hectares of Chardonnay. Ross Cobb got access to the Chardonnay fruit over a conversation at the Occidental farmers market. Evocative of Chablis with effusive aromas of saline smoky flint, loads of minerality and grilled lemon and mint. The palate is delicate and willowy with saline-laced citrus and crushed stone—a gorgeous Chardonnay.

The 2021 Chardonnay Mes Filles Vineyard is complex and effusive. It shows all the linear intensity Ross Cobb seeks in his wine, but there is more aromatic breadth, a bit more mid-palate depth and, in my view, better balance.
