Clos de La Fortune is celebrated as one of the finest vineyards in Bouzeron, with its 100% Aligoté planted in 1963 on a steep, south-facing slope. The 2022 vintage showcases this exceptional terroir and has received 91 points from Decanter. It presents a light lemon yellow colour accompanied by enticing aromas of ripe apricot and nectarine, enhanced with a herbal edge. On the palate, there is a rewarding intensity and depth of flavour, supported by balanced acidity that carries through to a satisfying finish. The 2.33-hectare monopole is situated just north of Les Clous. While this delightful wine can be enjoyed upon release, its structure allows for graceful aging over the next five years.

ABOUT THE WINE
Clos de La Fortune is one of the most exceptional sites in the village of Bouzeron. Planted in 1963 on quite a steep, south facing slope, it is planted 100% with Aligoté. The 2021 is a wonderful example, with ripe and textural stone fruit flavours dancing alongside the floral and citrus peel undertones. 10% new oak was used this year and it adds a subtle balance to the wine whilst enhancing the tropical flavours. It is very apparent that Aligoté from this site is something special.

This delightfully refreshing Bouzeron is a light lemon yellow in colour and blossoms with pleasantly ripe aromas of apricot and nectarine fruit with a herbal edge. There is a rewarding intensity and depth of flavour on the palate. The acidity is balanced but sufficient to carry the wine to a satisfying conclusion. The Clos is a 2.33-hectare monopole just north of Les Clous. Although the wine is ready to drink when bottled, it has enough substance and structure to support ageing for up to five years.
