Description
From Domaine Jacques Carillon, the 2023 Puligny-Montrachet is a distinguished white Burgundy hailing from the Côte de Beaune. This vintage showcases a gentle character, highlighted by notes of white fruit and a touch of minerality.
Sourced from a 0.28-hectare parcel in the Hameau de Blagny climat, the Chardonnay grapes undergo maturation in French oak barrels, with 15% being new, followed by an additional six months in stainless steel.
Since the late 19th century, Jacques Carillon has been crafting wines in the region, emphasizing meticulous vineyard practices and tradition that enhance the quality of their offerings.

JASPER MORRIS - 88-90 Points
"The blend in tank, racked in July and assembled in August. Pale lemon yellow, an immediate juicy and fleshy lemon fruit, not peachy, builds on the palate, less acidity this year, with a good clean finish that extends quite a way back. Far from dilute! Accessible early, will keep."
Drinking Window: 2026-2030
JANCIS ROBINSON - 17+ Points
"Subtle, spicy oak on the nose. Intense, really concentrated, the acidity just balanced by the flavour and rounded texture of the oak. Unusually intense in this vintage. Powerful, taut, long. A coiled spring that needs time."
