Description
In 2019, Charles-Louis de Noüe arrived in Slovenia, coming from a long, family tradition of winemaking in Burgundy (he is part of the family that owns Domaine Leflaive), and driven by his passion for finding the most authentic and prestigious terroirs for growing vines, he brought some abandoned, Brda vineyards back into production, rescuing their rich, genetic heritage with massale selection. The same year, he and his Slovenian partner Alis Marinic launched Vini Noüe Marinic. Situated in Brda, close to the Italian border, they produce some of the most exciting white wines in the region. It's no surprise that they are crafted with a nod to Burgundy, but most importantly, the wines are beautifully expressive of their terroir.
The nose is classically Mediterranean, with enticing aromas of green olive, sage, and thyme. On the palate, it delivers a velvety texture—creamy yet infused with a vibrant saline and mineral edge.
