Description

Florent Rouve is a brilliant wine-maker who divides his time between the two estates that he owns in the Mâconnais and the Jura. His Mâcon cellar is in the village of Davayé in the heart of the Saint Véran appellation where he fashions an exemplary range of white wines from all the major appellations of southern Burgundy. The 2022s were picked promptly at the end of August and fermented and aged for 9-15 months in small oak barrels of which 10-25% were new.

Viré-Clessé Les Vercherres is a north-east facing vineyard which gives a wine with a distinct, mineral edge. Rich and intense with thrilling acidity and lovely bite on the finish. Drink 2024-2026.
