Description

This single-varietal white wine is made exclusively from Cayetana grapes, a variety native to Extremadura. Cayetana is the brainchild of Luis Merino, who launched the project to champion and celebrate the rare, indigenous grape variety Cayetana.

The vines, over 50 years old, are located in the Tierra de Barros subzone of Extremadura, in southwestern Spain, near the Portuguese border. 70% of the wine is fermented on its fine lees preserving the freshness and primary aromas of the grapes and providing greater complexity and volume on the palate. The remaining 30% ferments in French oak barrels, giving the wine a subtle elegance and distinctive aromatic notes. It offers a fresh and citrus fragrance , with hints of white and tropical fruits , evoking the freshness and vitality of the Extremadura land.
