Description
Take the heat and sun of the Douro and somehow conjure up this elegant white. Light, floral aromas with quite ripe fruit, especially peach, becoming more obvious towards the end. Very elegant and soft on the palate with the same flavours apparent on the nose but more complex and slightly spicy. It is a wine full of flavours, fresh and young, ideal for hot summer days.
La Rosa Branco typifies what Jorge Moreira is seeking to achieve in his white wines. Produced with indigenous grape varieties, planted at altitude, away from the oppressive heat of the valley. Viosinho (50%), Rabigato (25%), Códega do Larinho (15%) and Arinto (10%) are lightly pressed prior to fermentation in small stainless-steel vats after which the lotes are blended.
