Description

Although Chenin Blanc has not been planted on the Rustenberg estate since the late 1980’s, there are an abundance of superb bush vine Chenin Blanc vineyards in Stellenbosch that are contracted to make this wine. Grapes were hand harvested from older vines, 35 years+ in age. This unwooded wine is our take on a stalwart variety of the South African wine industry, aiming to highlight an expression of the varietal, region and vintage. Aromas of pineapple, orange blossom and yellow pear follow through to the palate which is crisp, textured and complemented by characters of citrus. Aging Potential 5 years and beyond from vintage.
