Founded in 1626, this family-owned winery boasts a rich heritage and over 13 generations of expertise in winemaking. The Trimbach family has made its mark on the Alsatian wine industry through a steadfast commitment to quality, tradition, and excellence.
One of the hallmarks of Trimbach wines is their emphasis on terroir. The vineyards are situated in prime locations across Alsace, where the unique soil composition and microclimates contribute to the distinctive characteristics of their wines. Trimbach practices sustainable viticulture, focusing on minimizing interventions in the vineyard to enhance the expression of the terroir.
Trimbach is particularly renowned for its Riesling, which is often considered one of the finest expressions of the varietal in the world. The Trimbach Riesling is noted for its purity, elegance, and minerality, showcasing vibrant acidity and complex fruit aromas like citrus, peach, and stone fruit, often with a characteristic flintiness on the finish. The winery also produces an Ente Vigne (old vine) Riesling that highlights fruit depth, intensity, and aging potential.
Another standout from Trimbach is their Gewürztraminer, offering an aromatic profile with notes of lychee, rose petal, and spice. It’s a perfect companion to a variety of cuisines, particularly those with bold flavours.
Trimbach wines are often celebrated for their ability to age gracefully, developing complex tertiary notes over the years while maintaining their freshness. The winery’s dedication to quality has earned it numerous accolades and a loyal following among wine enthusiasts and collectors.

Perfect with Soft and Washed-Rind Cheeses....
Taleggio, Vacherin Mont d’Or, Reblochon, Epoisses, Brie, Camembert. Washed-rind cheese, the riper the cheese, the bolder the wine, but the stinkier the cheese, the harder it is to pair a wine- its best to not pair your best wine with these cheeses. An Alsatian Pinot Gris or a Gewurztraminer such as this one with its floral notes will counteract the pungency of the cheese and is rich enough to stand up to them.
