Every now and then you come across a vineyard that sparks inspiration to do something completely different.
Grapes were sourced from the incredible ward of Lower Duivenhoks River - situated between Riversdale, Vermaaklikheid and Heidelberg - within the Cape South Coast region. Limestone soils, cool mean ripening temperatures and only 10km from the ocean - creates a beautiful, mineral Chardonnay. The grapes are whole bunch pressed and fermented naturally in partly new, 2nd and 3rd fill French oak barrels. No MLF.
A superbly elegant Chardonnay, layered with citrus and apple notes with a stealy minerality creating that perfect tension in the wine. Beautifully balanced natural acidity gives this wine ample longevity and punch. Delicate wine with lots of tension and an impressive long finish.
