We are thrilled to welcome Luke O’Cuinneagain, Head Winemaker at the globally renowned Vergelegen estate. Known for producing wines of exceptional elegance, classical structure, and terroir-driven brilliance, Vergelegen represents the absolute pinnacle of Cape winemaking. This is a rare and exciting opportunity to meet Luke, renowned for his time at top-tier estates, and to hear firsthand the passion and three centuries of heritage poured into every bottle.

Luke will personally guide us through seven outstanding Vergelegen wines. Whether you are a longtime collector of classical South African Bordeaux-style blends and refined whites, or you are simply looking to discover the finest the Cape has to offer, this lineup promises a truly unforgettable tasting journey.

What to Expect:

Seven outstanding wines guided by Luke O'Cuinneagain, accompanied by delicious cheese and charcuterie platters to enhance the experience.

Luke's Pedigree:

Luke O'Cuinneagain has an exceptional pedigree in the wine industry, boasting experience at some of the world's most prestigious estates.

Before taking the helm at Vergelegen in 2022, Luke spent 14 highly successful years as the winemaker at Glenelly Estate in Stellenbosch. During his time there, he built a stellar reputation for crafting elegant, Bordeaux-style wines that garnered international acclaim.

His classical approach is deeply rooted in his impressive international experience. Luke has worked vintages at iconic estates around the globe, most notably:

Château Angélus in Saint-Émilion, Bordeaux
Château de Fieuzal in Graves, Bordeaux
Screaming Eagle in Napa Valley, California (one of the world's most famous and exclusive "cult" wines)

This blend of experience and a deep understanding of Stellenbosch's terroir makes him one of South Africa's most highly respected contemporary winemakers.

We are no longer accepting ANY pre-registrations and all event tickets will be sold on a first-come-first-served basis from now on. Tickets MUST be purchased via our website only. No telephone or email bookings, sorry.

We do not issue physical tickets, your name will be on the door. Please provide all the name within any groups. 


***CANCELLATION POLICY***

If you decide to cancel any events to be held at Dunell's, please notify us as soon as possible. The team will endeavour to resell your ticket(s) so that a refund can be given. Alternatively you can pass your ticket on to someone else but please advise of the new ticket owner. Refunds on any ticket(s) will NOT be given within 14 days of the event unless we are able to successfully resell your ticket(s).
