What is the WSET Level 2 Award in Wines?
The WSET Level 2 Award in Wines is a 3-day intensive course in our private boardroom at Beaumont and will run from Monday 16th March until Wednesday 18th March 2026, 9:45am - 4:30pm each day.
Who will be leading the course?
The course will be led by with Clare Whitehead, an award-winning educator from Liberty Wines Academy. Clare is also a winemaker, who has released her wine to the market under the name Whitewolfe. She is an absolute legend and an amazing teacher, full of incredible knowledge. There is no better person to lead this course in our opinion. She has led many of our customers, both private and hospitality industry customers in Jersey, to WSET success.
WSET Level 2 (Wine & Spirit Education Trust) is the internationally recognised course that is followed by those who would like to learn more about wine as well as those entering the wine and hospitality industry.
What will you learn over the 3 days?
In a fun and informative way you will learn about tasting techniques to help you build tasting experience, pairing wine and food, still and sparkling wine production, most popular wine regions in the world and you will taste a broad selection of over 40 wines over the 3 days. Level 2 can be comfortably achieved by those with little or no previous wine knowledge.
We will start every day at 9.45am. Each session will include a delicious lunch and afternoon cake and refreshments before resuming teaching for the afternoon. The course will finish each day by 4.30pm.
How do I prepare for the WSET Level 2 exam?
Clare will cover the whole Level 2 syllabus but please note there will be additional revision exercises that you will be required to complete at home after each course day to make sure you are ready to sit the examination on the last day in the afternoon (a multiple-choice paper of 50 questions).
What’s included in the course fee?
