Doug McCrorie DipWSET
Retail Sales

Meet Douglas (aka Doug), the latest friendly face at our Beaumont store, who joined us at the beginning of September 2025.
Doug has almost 30 years in the wine trade under his belt, from Oddbins in Manchester to wholesale names like Matthew Clark, Bibendum and most recently Henkell Freixenet. Along the way, he has earned his WSET Diploma (Level 4) and picked up plenty of stories from vineyards around the world.
When he is not helping customers find their next favourite bottle, you will catch him running, singing in a choir or heading up a Scottish mountain. You may even find him singing his favourite Karaoke song "I'm Gonna Be" by The Proclaimers!
As for wine, Doug has a soft spot for Bordeaux, Nebbiolo, crisp whites and a well-made Chardonnay. Current favourites include Jean Charles Fagot Bourgogne Aligoté Vieilles Vignes, Esporão Reserva Branco and Pierre Gaillard's St. Joseph.
We are delighted to have him on the team. Pop by Beaumont and say hi!
