From: 2014 Bordeaux: A September Surprise (Feb 2017)
Dark cherry, plum, smoke, graphite and game are all fused together in the 2014 Clos Floridène. Sumptuous, round and enveloping, it is absolutely impeccable in its balance. This wine is in a fairly lush style texturally, but it works. - By Antonio Galloni on February 2017

Drink Date: 2017 - 2029
The Clos Floridene 2014 has a crisp, quite minerally bouquet that is well defined and focused. These aromatics possess charm and personality. The palate is medium-bodied with firm, slightly dry tannin but with plenty of Graves-like character coming through on the cool and classic finish. This is a well crafted wine but hey, we take that as given nowadays.

Black fruits from the Cabernet Sauvignon on the nose, not overly generous, this feels well ripened but savoury, picks up on classic Graves cedar and cigar box, all restrained and held in check. Good drinking pleasure over next five years. One third new oak for 12 months.
