This is one of the most exciting and improved domaines in Gevrey. Since Florence Heresztyn took over her share of the family estate in 2012, the quality has soared. Aided by her Champenois husband Simon Mazzini, Florence has converted the vineyards to biodynamic viticulture and adapted the vinification to suit the characteristics of each vintage and vineyard. In 2020, the harvest was completed in four days from 1st to 4th September. All the wines were fermented with natural yeasts and the maceration was gentle with less pigeage than usual.
The vines lie just below the village in the Champ Franc climat. This is 100% destemmed and aged in three and four year old barrels to allow the fruit to shine through. Ripe and fruity with gentle structure and
excellent vitality. A lovely example of Pinot Noir. Drink 2024-2028.
