Description
Pazo Señorans is one of the most iconic and respected wine producers in Spain. Selección de Añada is a benchmark Albariño and one of Spain’s most distinguished white wines. A masterclass in complexity, elegance, and longevity; it is aged extensively on lees, showcasing the extraordinary aging potential of Albariño from the granitic soils of the Salnés Valley. 2015 is a landmark vintage from the estate’s Los Bancales old-vine single vineyard in Rías Baixas.
2015 vintage notes
This vintage delivered near ideal growing conditions throughout the vegetative cycle. Mild temperatures and no rain during spring ensured that flowering and fruit set were completed without pressures of disease. June and July were hot and dry months, while August and September were somewhat milder and cooler, marking a good harvest date. The grapes were very healthy.

Drink 2025-2035
"The 2015 Selección de Añada is nothing short of phenomenal. It comes from the Los Bancales vineyard planted some 50 years ago and fermented with indigenous yeasts but without malolactic fermentation. It has a bright, almost fluorescent color and a complex, subtle and nuanced, elegant and expressive nose, with notes of sea shells and sea breeze, grass and white flowers. It's very clean, and the palate shows great balance. It has remarkable acidity and freshness with good ripeness. This matured in tank with lees for over 30 months and was bottled in June 2024. It feels more serious and less exotic than earlier vintages. 18,000 bottles produced. This is the finest vintage that I can remember. Bravo!"
