Drinking Window: 2027 - 2037 
The Sesti family burned bales of hay for two nights during the 2021 April cold snap, managing to keep frost damage to under 15%. Despite slightly less quantity, this Brunello speaks distinctly of its sun-kissed landscape. An exotic mix of potpourri florals, baked herbs, sundried tomato and coffee swells from the glass. Neither austere nor overly forward, it flirts with a bloody, irony undertow. Sumptuous red berries are swaddled in fine, powdery tannins – these are sensual in delivery, wielding power without force. Culminates with a tamarind tang. 

JAMES SUCKLING 94 points 
Cedar, conserved cherries and dried flowers. The palate is medium- to full-bodied with gentle, caressing red fruit and polished yet firm, precise tannins that turn silky towards the finish. Drink or hold. 

VINOUS 94 points 
Drinking window: 2029 – 2042 
The 2021 Brunello di Montalcino opens with a cascade of sweet violet and lavender tones before settling on dried roses and cherries. It is elegant and nearly weighty in feel, with tantalizing acidity to balance and cool-toned red berry fruits swirling throughout. The 2021 turns inward on itself through the finish, long and pleasantly tart, as fine-grained tannin frames the experience beautifully.

Drink Date: 2026 - 2038 
The Sesti 2021 Brunello di Montalcino offers a soft, velvety fruit profile with ample richness and texture, revealing layers of black fruit, plum and earthy spice. Rather than emphasizing vertical lift and tension, the wine presents a more monolithic personality with an open-knit flow across the palate, while the tannins are fully integrated into this full-bodied expression.
