THE WINE ADVOCATE 93-95 points
"The 2020 Meursault 1er Cru Les Perrières is excellent, unwinding in the glass with scents of citrus zest, crisp green orchard fruit, vanilla pod and white flowers. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and chiseled, it's racy and incisive, with a tangy spine of acidity and a long, searingly chalky finish. The 2020 vintage has turned out beautifully at this address, delivering concentrated, flavorful wines with alcohol levels between 13.3% and 13.7% and with low pHs. Winemaker Frédéric Barnier told me that efforts were made to pick earlier in the day, and that fruit waiting to be processed was kept fresh in a special cold room. In the cellar, foudres and 500-liter barrels now complement classic 228-liter pièces, a further evolution adapting to warmer, riper vintages." (WK 1/2022)
Jasper Morris Inside Burgundy 93-96 points
"The density of colour sits between Genevrières and Charmes, though with slightly the weightiest fruit on the nose. The oak has been pushed into the background by the volume of fruit. There is a little thread of grenadine through the essentially pure white fruit, with a very good mineral backbone throughout. "
