Maison Langlois Chateau is a true specialist in the Loire Valley and their Brut Reserve shows exactly how much quality can be found in a Cremant. Owned by the Bollinger family, they apply a serious level of care to every bottle, including ageing the wine for at least twenty four months in their ancient stone cellars. This is far longer than the rules require and it really shows in the glass. It is a blend of Chenin Blanc, Chardonnay, and Cabernet Franc that feels incredibly elegant and fresh. You will find bright notes of green apple and citrus, followed by a lovely hint of honey and toasted brioche. The bubbles are fine and creamy, leading into a crisp and sophisticated finish. It is an honest and soulful alternative to Champagne.
