Description

This is a wonderful wine produced by an old family friend, Armand Schuster and his son, also named Armand at their glorious property overlooking the Dordogne and looking up to Saint Émilion on the other side of the river. 25 hectares planted with Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. All picking and sorting is done by hand here, and the result is a lovely, easy, but fine wine, reminiscent of a silky Pomerol, and remarkable value. This wine distinguishes itself by its firm body, juiciness and superb finesse. Well-rounded and balanced. Brilliant to drink now or to keep for 5+ years.
