Campante Winery belongs to the Reboreda Morgadio Group but is very much a family winery. It was founded 70 years ago in Ribeiro, and today Pablo Estevez is the man behind it. A hugely well qualified winemaker, he has had research papers published and was awarded Top Winemaker of Spain for Young Wines 2019. The vineyards sit in the heart of the Val do Miño in Ribeiro and produces a number of wines from the lauded Galician white varieties.
‘Adeus’ (Goodbye) is the title of a Galician poem by one of the most famous poets of Galicia, Rosalia de Castro. A blend of Treixadura and Torrontés, its packed with lime and ripe peach accompanied by hints of dry herbs. On the palate it’s refreshing and bright with hints of apricot. An excellent pair to grilled octopus, monkfish fillet or shrimps in garlic sauce. Equally with buttery white asparagus or with stewed spinach.
