Since the 2020 vintage, we no longer have the right to call this cuvée "Les Vignes Blanches" following the classification of Pouilly Fuissé in 1er Cru. “Les Vignes Blanches” therefore becomes “Les Tilliers”, which is the cadastral name.
In the past, red vineyards far outnumbered whites in the Maconnais. However, this old plot has always been planted with Chardonnay, as the land is better suited to a white grape variety – hence its name, Vignes Blanches.
The nose is on aromas of white flowers (honeysuckle, acacia) and yellow fruits, with mineral notes. The expression of the wine is always balanced with a silky structure and fresh fruit, without any heaviness with a saline finish.
Age of the vines – 60 years
100% barrel fermented; 100% malolactic fermentation. Aged 12 months in 228L French oak barrels. Batonnage once every 10 days for 9 months in aging on fine lees.
Unfiltered.
