It was fantastic to see so many new faces at our first "Beat The Brands" Wine Mixer tasting, designed especially for those who are new to wine and eager to learn more. We were particularly thrilled to see such a young crowd and people who, like us, are less interested in the "label" and more interested in what’s actually in the glass.

The most frequent question we got was: "What are we learning about next?"

We’ve decided to tackle one of the most misunderstood areas of the wine world.

Introducing "ABC: The Other Bubbles".

While Champagne often gets all the glory (and the high price tag), there is a world of incredible sparkling wine that offers just as much complexity and history. This session is designed to help you navigate those "other" bubbles with confidence.

We’re going Anything But Champagne.

It will be an informal look into the best other sparkling wines on the map. We’ll explore the differences in production, taste, and value between:

Crémant: The "insider’s secret" to French fizz.
Cava: Why traditional method Spanish bubbles are making a massive comeback.
Prosecco: Moving beyond the mass-market to find artisanal, high-quality bottles.
+ some other surprises along the way!

We’ll break down the jargon and give you the tools to pick a great bottle off the shelf or a wine list every time. No snobbery - just great wine and genuine conversation.

Whether you are a total beginner or just looking to expand your horizons, this tasting offers a relaxed space to learn and explore.

If you decide to cancel, please let us know as soon as possible. The team will endeavour to resell your ticket(s) so that a refund can be given. Alternatively, you can just pass your ticket on to someone else; however, please let us know the new ticket owner. Refunds on any ticket(s) will NOT be given within 14 days of the event unless we can successfully resell your ticket(s).
