The 2008 Dom Pérignon Rosé continues to drink brilliantly, exhibiting aromas of orange, red berries, pear, pastry, spices and some smoke with time in the glass. Full-bodied, charming, broad and fleshy, with pristine balance, it’s a seamless, complete and vinous Champagne of compelling purity and maturity.

The 2008 Dom Pérignon Rosé seems to have put on a little weight since I last tasted it, especially in the mid-palate. Bright and classically austere, the 2008 sizzles with all of the tension that is such a signature of the vintage. Finely drawn, sculpted lines shape this wonderfully saline, taut Rosé. Crushed flowers, rose petal, chalk and sweet red cherry build with a bit of coaxing.

Offering up aromas of white flowers, red berries, toast and fresh pastry, Dom Pérignon rosé 2008 is medium to full-bodied, tense and vibrant, with a vinous texture and sapid nuances. Delicately phenolic, this is a pure and racy gastronomic champagne that’s beginning to drink with style. It concludes with a long and penetrating finish.
