Description
Moët & Chandon Brut Impérial is the world’s most iconic Champagne, serving as the flagship expression of a historic house founded in 1743. Created in 1869 and named in tribute to Napoleon Bonaparte - a loyal patron of the estate - this non-vintage cuvée perfectly embodies the Moët & Chandon signature style, distinguished by its bright fruitiness, seductive palate, and elegant maturity.
The blend is a meticulous composition of over 100 different wines. It typically comprises 30 to 40% Pinot Noir for body and structure, 30 to 40% Pinot Meunier for suppleness and fleshy fruit, and 20 to 30% Chardonnay for finesse and crispness. The addition of specially selected reserve wines ensures the House’s flawless consistency year after year.
In the glass, Brut Impérial displays a golden straw yellow hue with subtle green highlights. The bouquet is intensely vibrant, bursting with green apple, fresh citrus, and white flowers, layered over classic notes of warm brioche and toasted nuts. On the palate, it delivers a generous yet subtle profile. Sumptuous white-fleshed fruits like pear and peach mingle with a lively citrus finish and a fine, persistent mousse, making it an effortlessly elegant Champagne.
