The Bunnahabhain 18 Year Old is an unpeated single malt Scotch whisky from the Isle of Islay, celebrated for its rich sherry influence rather than the heavy smoke typical of the region. Bottled at 46.3%, it is presented without any chill-filtration and retains its natural mahogany colour. Maturation occurs primarily in ex-Oloroso sherry casks, which imparts a complex and robust character. The nose delivers dense aromas of dried figs, raisins, and dark chocolate, accented by a subtle maritime salinity. On the palate, it offers a dense texture with flavours of rich toffee, roasted nuts, leather, and baking spices, balanced by a hint of coastal sea spray. The finish is remarkably long, leaving lingering notes of spiced fruitcake and dry oak.
