Lagg Distillery is the bold and peaty heart of southern Arran, established to contrast the lighter and unpeated style of its sister distillery at Lochranza. The Kilmory Edition is the flagship of their range, serving as the perfect introduction to their rugged and heavily peated spirit. Named after the parish where the distillery stands, this bottling is all about purity and vibrant energy.

To achieve this clean and focused character, the spirit is matured exclusively in first fill bourbon barrels. This choice of wood allows the natural intensity of the peat to take centre stage while adding a lovely layer of creamy sweetness. Like its siblings, it is peated to fifty parts per million, giving it a robust and smoky presence that reflects the wild coastline of the island.

On the nose, it is remarkably fresh and bright. You are met with an inviting burst of citrus fruits and sweet custard, followed by a clean and herbal peat smoke that reminds us of a beach bonfire.
