Description
Bibi Graetz remains one of Tuscany's great creative originals, an artist-turned-winemaker who founded his project in Fiesole in 2000 and continues to approach wine with the same irreverent spirit he brings to his colourful labels. Old vines and native grapes remain central to the philosophy, with Sangiovese from sites around Florence and Chianti Classico forming the backbone of Testamatta and Colore. His playful side is especially evident in the experimental Balocchi wines and, as far as I know, he remains the only man in Italy with a disco ball hanging in his wine cellar. - Monica Larner, Wine Advocate
Bibi Graetz Colore and Testamatta 25th Anniversary Pre-Release Offer
A cracking pre-release offer from one of our favourite producers and one of Italy’s most fascinating, accomplished and iconic winemakers.
In fact, Jane, Kasia, Paul, Daniele and I were lucky to spend a long morning with Bibi at his vineyards in October 2026 with a tasting and lunch at the winery (cooked by Bibi and his wife Benedicte). One of the highlights of our week in Tuscany, the man and the wines did not disappoint.
The warmth, passion and personality of the man himself were every bit as impressive as the beautiful wines he produces. Both Bibi and his wines lived up to, and perhaps even exceeded, our expectations. A truly memorable visit and one we will all look back on with great fondness.
I'm super excited to offer limited releases of Bibi’s Colore 2024 and Testamatta 2024.
Both wines have received high praise from some of the world's most respected wine critics, with the Colore red reaching 97 points from James Suckling and the Testamatta 95!
For the 25th Anniversary Release, each case will contain artwork designed by Bibi, giving this offer an added unique selling point to regular collectors of Bibi’s wines.
No cellar is complete without a case or two of Bibi’s wines, and to make the offer even more attractive with Bibi’s support, we are pleased to improve the pricing on previous vintages.

Amazing quality for the wet 2024 vintage with super aromas of cherry, vanilla spice, sandalwood, rosewood, lilac and nectarine follow through to a medium-bodied wine with very fine tannins and a crunchy finish. It goes on for a minute or two and it's so refined and sophisticated. Drink or hold. - James Suckling

The Bibi Graetz 2024 Colore is nicely earthy, with iris flower and a pretty fabric that feels light, lacy and delicate. There is mid-weight intensity on the palate, but what really distinguishes the wine is its balance and charm. Elegant and fine, it shows a finely textured, streamlined quality that works especially well in 2024. Colore is made from old-vine Sangiovese sourced from Lamole, Vincigliata, Olmo and Siena. - Monica Larner

2024 Bibi Graetz ‘Colore’ Red Wine-Sourced from handpicked fruit from the Lamole and Olmo vineyards, picked sub-plot by sub plot. Some of the vines are now over 100 years of age. This is fabulous. Very similar in the glass – in terms of extraction, colour density and hue – to Testamatta, but very different in personality. This is bloodier, richer, deeper and darker in its fruit profile, more peppery in its spiciness and with the floral aromatics ratcheted up a notch or too – with more lavender, lilac and rosemary. This is a little less ample in form in the mouth, with much greater mid palate density in part as a consequence. Long and gently tapering on the finish, but ethereal and aerial too and very much in the new stylistic register forged by Bibi Graetz in recent vintages.

2024 Bibi Graetz ‘Colore’ Red Wine- another year, another stunning ‘Colore’ with this edition coming from 2024. It delivers heady aromatics of smoked meats, white pepper dusted black fruits, tar and tobacco leaf that all take shape in the glass. The palate is dense and lush with a terrific acid backbone. Seriously good now in its fullthrottle youth, enjoy now and over the next fifteen to twenty years to come. Drink 2026-2044
Best Regards
Neil
