"Ducru Beaucaillou is so unique that its name stands like a flag flying amidst the vineyards of Saint-Julien. Its charismatic owner, Bruno Borie, constantly pursues ambitious projects, whether in producing the finest possible wine or through highly original marketing for a Bordeaux cru. The most recent is a large-scale, ultra-modern winery that has just been inaugurated. The name "Beaucaillou" (beautiful stones) comes from its unique terroir, covered with large, rounded pebbles deposited by the Garonne River. It is characterized by a layer of Günzian gravel (6 to 8 meters thick), resting on a clay-limestone subsoil. These well-draining, warm soils promote optimal grape ripening, giving the wines elegance, refined structure, and great complexity.

Ducru Beaucaillou 2025 is a model of refinement: A highly aromatic nose opens with floral notes, followed by ripe black cherry and cassis. The profile is dense and compact, yet lifted. On the palate, the wine is rich and structured, driven by a precise sense of tension that brings clarity and definition to the fruit.
