Description
The story of Château Figeac is written in stone. Its origins trace back to the 2nd century, when the Roman Figeacus family first established themselves on this remarkable site, making it one of the oldest known estates in Bordeaux. Since 1892, the Manoncourt family has been the custodian of that legacy, now carried forward by Frédéric Faye and his team.
Figeac’s strength lies in its singular terroir: a complex mosaic of gravel and clay, including the famed Graves de l’Enfer, where gravel deposits reach depths of seven metres. It is a landscape that consistently delivers wines of crystalline purity and precision. Vinified in stainless steel vats, each parcel is allowed to express its character with remarkable clarity.
Figeac 2025 is a compelling reflection of this approach. Clear, precise and beautifully integrated, it combines freshness with quiet intensity. There is no excess here, only balance, purity and the sense of a wine built for the long term."
