Château Grand-Puy Ducasse 2025 represents a significant chapter for this Pauillac estate following the completion of its extensive cellar renovations. This 5ème Grand Cru Classé is increasingly recognised for its precision and depth. The 2025 vintage, recently moved into barrel for ageing, displays a deep purple hue and a complex bouquet of crème de cassis, cedarwood, and graphite.

On the palate, the wine shows the power and structure typical of the northern Médoc, characterised by firm but refined tannins and a core of intense black fruit. The influence of the new gravity-fed winery is evident in the purity of the fruit and the elegance of the texture. With its high proportion of Cabernet Sauvignon, this vintage promises exceptional longevity and classic Pauillac character.

The 2025s reflect this momentum. Grand-Puy Ducasse shows a more refined and controlled profile, with polished tannins, precise cassis-driven fruit and a clearer expression of Pauillac classicism. These are confident, well-executed wines that underline the upward trajectory of both estates, disciplined in style, and increasingly compelling within their respective appellations."
