Description
Château La Conseillante, a Pomerol legend since 1735, has been in the Nicolas family since 1871. Its 12 hectare vineyard sits on a privileged plateau in eastern Pomerol, bordering St-Émilion and neighboring iconic estates like Cheval Blanc, L’Evangile, Petit-Village, and Vieux Château-Certan.
This exceptional terroir yields a wine typically composed of 87% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc and 3% Cabernet Sauvignon, aged for 17 months in 70% new French oak. La Conseillante is renowned for its Burgundian elegance, offering a captivating bouquet of violets, blueberries, cassis, and spring flowers, with cocoa, espresso, and spice nuances. On the palate, velvety tannins and a silky texture create a layered, multidimensional experience with impressive richness. The estate’s meticulous approach, harvesting in small crates, parcel-by-parcel vinification, results in wines of striking perfume, purity, and seamless harmony, embodying Pomerol’s most elegant and sophisticated expression."
