Description

Reflecting the estate's ongoing commitment to precision and sustainability, the blend is lead by a significant majority of Cabernet Sauvignon, supported by Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot. This vintage presents a focused aromatic profile, with intense notes of blackcurrant, dark chocolate, and the classic graphite minerality that defines the appellation’s gravelly soils.

On the palate, the wine is powerful yet remarkably fresh. The tannins are architectural and fine-grained, providing a sophisticated structure that encases a core of dense black fruit. The influence of the estate's unique terroir is evident in the wine’s vibrant acidity and long, saline finish. This 2025 bottling is a balanced and age-worthy red, built to evolve beautifully over the coming decades.

"The Lorenzetti family presides over an impressive collection of Left Bank estates, including Châteaux Pédesclaux, Lafon-Rochet and Lilian Ladouys, alongside co-ownership of Château d’Issan with the Cruse family.

Each property benefits from a distinct terroir identity, from the blue clay soils of Saint-Estèphe Lafon-Rochet, to the prime Pauillac parcels of Pédesclaux. Under the guidance of Félix Pariente Lorenzetti and consultant Éric Boissenot, the wines display precision, balance and a clear sense of place.

Lafon-Rochet offers classic Cabernet-driven profile with fresh black fruits and graphite notes, Lilian Ladouys is on pulpy red fruits with soft tannins, whilst Pédesclaux delivers all the refinement and depth expected of a fine Pauillac. The 2025s already show considerable charm, underpinned by excellent ageing potential." - Pierre Giudici, DIVA Bordeaux
