Description
Château Mouton Rothschild 2025 represents a spectacular display from this First Growth estate, combining trademark opulence with extraordinary precision. The blend is dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon, supported by Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot. This vintage is immediately striking, offering an intense aromatic profile of crème de cassis, roasted coffee beans, and dried flowers, beautifully integrated with characteristic exotic spice.
On the palate, the wine is multi-layered and voluminous. It possesses a majestic structure, where velvety tannins support a profound depth of black fruit. Despite its power, there is a remarkable sense of freshness driving the long, mineral-inflected finish. The 2025 captures the flamboyant personality of Mouton while maintaining an impeccable balance, ensuring it will remain a legendary bottling for decades to come.
"Mouton ne change - The château’s famous motto once again rings true with the unveiling of the 2025 vintage of Château Mouton Rothschild, Petit Mouton and Aile d’Argent. A truly unprecedented vintage at Mouton. Despite yields dropping below 25 hl/ha, the Cabernet Sauvignon reached such an exceptional level of quality that it accounts for 98% of the final blend of Mouton — a record in itself. And the result fully lives up to this remarkable achievement: phenomenal length on the palate, beautifully velvety tannins, and those unmistakable fresh cassis notes that define Mouton and never fail to captivate. The 14% of press wine adds depth and structure to the vintage, yet without weighing it down; the wine remains vibrant, approachable and already incredibly charming in its youth." - Pierre Giudici - Business Development Director - DIVA Bordeaux
