Clos Fourtet perfectly illustrates the historic connection between Saint-Émilion, its monastic heritage, and the culture of fine wines.

With its vineyard enclosed by ancient stone walls, its château facing the Église Collégiale, and its limestone subsoil formed from the very same calcareous plateau as the cité itself, there is little doubt that Clos Fourtet is one of the great standard-bearers of Right Bank Grands Vins.

Since taking over the estate in 2001, the Cuvelier family has restored Clos Fourtet to its former prestige through meticulous work in both vineyard and cellar. Biodynamic farming and increasingly precise parcel vinifications have refined the estate’s distinctive identity and elevated the quality to new heights. The family has also strengthened its presence in Saint-Émilion with the acquisition of neighbouring Les Grandes Murailles and Côte de Baleau.

Clos Fourtet 2025 delivers a chalky and creamy signature, highlighted by delicate floral aromas and hints of white pepper. The tannins are beautifully polished, while the finish reveals notes of graphite alongside precise and enticing fruit.
