Description

The Biscardo family has a rich winemaking heritage in the Veneto region, and the Neropasso Originale is a brilliant showcase of their expertise. This 2023 vintage is crafted using the traditional appassimento method, a technique closely associated with the iconic wines of the area. A carefully selected portion of the grapes - a blend of Corvina, Corvinone, and Cabernet Sauvignon - are gently dried before fermentation. This natural drying process concentrates the sugars and flavour compounds, resulting in a wine of remarkable depth and velvety richness.

In the glass, the 2023 Neropasso displays a deep, intense ruby red colour. The bouquet is highly aromatic and inviting, offering a complex medley of dark fruits. Expect pronounced notes of ripe black cherry, plum compote, and subtle baking spices. On the palate, the influence of the appassimento method truly shines, delivering a wonderfully soft, rounded texture with fine, highly approachable tannins. The integration of the indigenous Corvina varieties with the structural backbone of Cabernet Sauvignon creates a beautifully balanced, medium-to-full-bodied red.
