Description
The Bremerton Tamblyn from Langhorne Creek is a blend that brings together four classic grape varieties to create a wine of remarkable harmony and depth. Crafted by the talented Willson family, this wine combines Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Malbec and Merlot, with each variety playing a crucial role in the final blend. The Cabernet Sauvignon provides a firm structural backbone and classic notes of blackcurrant, while the Shiraz contributes generous dark fruit flavours and a touch of peppery spice. The addition of Malbec brings vibrant floral aromatics and a plush texture, and the Merlot rounds out the palate with soft, fleshy plum characteristics.
In the glass, the wine displays a deep crimson colour with purple hues. The nose is highly aromatic, offering layers of dark cherry, blackberry and subtle hints of vanilla and cedar from careful oak maturation. On the palate, it is medium to full bodied, delivering a seamless integration of fruit, acidity and fine tannins. The mouthfeel is incredibly smooth and approachable, making it a joy to drink in its youth, yet it possesses the balance to reward short term cellaring.
Exceptionally versatile when it comes to food pairing. It shines alongside hearty dishes such as slow roasted lamb, grilled steak or rich tomato based pasta. The Tamblyn is a brilliant showcase of the Langhorne Creek terroir, offering outstanding quality and a truly memorable tasting experience for any red wine enthusiast.
