Description

The second wine of Château Lagrange was first produced in 1985. Sourced from 30 years old vines, it receives the same care as the Grand Vin, with a search for maturity and concentration in the vineyard, a plot vinification and ageing adapted to its tannic structure.

Plummy ripe red and black fruits and a touch of cedar oak. Full bodied and well structured with round tannins. 61% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 9% Petit Verdot. Drink 2014-2024.

DECANTER 89 points - "This has good, firm, clean fruit with lovely overtones of mint. Good fruit character and a touch of caramel, with slightly earthy claret depth. Drinking Window 2017 - 2025."
