Description
Sourced from the island’s youngest traditional vines, this blend of 60% Ansonica, 30% Vermentino, and 10% Trebbiano celebrates the rugged Mediterranean landscape. The 2023 vintage was a departure from previous hot years, with ample winter rain and a mild growing season yielding wines of remarkable aromatic power and vibrant freshness.
Handpicked grapes undergo soft pressing with dry ice and cool fermentation in stainless steel to preserve their delicate perfumes. Aged for six months in steel, the wine avoids oak to highlight its maritime identity. It delivers a refreshing sea breeze character, balancing zesty acidity with a distinct sapidity and elegant body.
Bibi said: “Finally I fulfilled my dream of creating a little Testamatta Bianco which is born entirely from our historical vines from the Island of Giglio. I created a new painting inspired by the landscapes, sensations and emotions that this wonderful island has to offer. Casamatta Bianco is a perfect blend that reflects the perfumes and characteristics of the place with the right balance of body, acidity and aroma.”

A blend of Ansonica, Vermentino and Trebbiano Toscano from the Tuscan island of Giglio, this is from Bibi's younger vines – the older vines produce the fruit for Testamatta. It's a distinctly maritime white, with aromas of seaweed, olive and herbs combining with flavours of white peach, apricot, lemon peel, sea salt, crisp apple and breezy herbal wafts. Soft in texture, there's a beautiful balance between its sweet-fruited core and bitter, savoury elements. Mostly vinified in steel, one 10hl botti is also used.
