The 2024 Domaine Julien Merlin Condrieu 'La Coursière' originates from steep granitic vineyards near Saint-Michel-sur-Rhône and Malleval in the Northern Rhône. Crafted exclusively from Viognier, the winemaking emphasises freshness through direct pressing and strict cold settling. Both alcoholic and malolactic fermentations occur in seasoned oak, followed by extended élevage in 225-litre and 500-litre vessels.

This yields a full-bodied wine with a characteristically creamy texture. The aromatic profile features clear notes of exotic and orchard fruits, complemented by jasmine, chamomile, and white peach. A distinct mineral spine, fresh acidity, and a delicate bitterness provide structure, ensuring the wine remains balanced and never heavy. It is ideal for consumption in its youth to appreciate these primary flavours and vibrant freshness.
