Crafted by César Martí, Cuba’s youngest Maestro Ronero, Eminente Gran Reserva 10 Year Old is a masterful expression of traditional Cuban rum-making. This exceptional spirit is distinguished by its remarkably high proportion of aguardiente - the soulful, complex heart of the rum - and a unique finishing period in French oak barrels, which adds an extraordinary layer of refinement and structure.
In the glass, it radiates a deep, glowing amber hue. The nose is incredibly inviting, offering a rich and complex bouquet of freshly roasted coffee, toasted almonds, and wild honey, delicately intertwined with aromas of vanilla pod and antique mahogany.
On the palate, it is luxuriously textured and deeply flavourful. A robust core of dried dark fruits, caramelised brown sugar, and rich dark chocolate is perfectly balanced by the elegant, warming spice of the French oak, revealing subtle hints of nutmeg, cinnamon, and ginger. The finish is remarkably long and velvety, leaving lingering notes of sweet tobacco and subtle smoke.
This is a sophisticated, sipping-quality rum designed for contemplation. It is best savoured neat or poured over a single, large block of ice, making it an exquisite companion for a premium cigar or dark chocolate truffles.
