Description

Torabhaig ‘Sound of Sleat’ is the fourth release in the distillery’s Legacy Series, showcasing a refined, peat-forward single malt. Distilled from Concerto and Laureate barley peated to over 78 PPM, it undergoes a 72-hour fermentation before maturing exclusively in American oak. The cask profile combines first-fill heavily toasted barrels, first-fill Kentucky bourbon casks, and older refill bourbon barrels. It is bottled at 46% ABV without chill-filtration or added colouring. The nose reveals delicate aromas of sweet orange and apricot, intertwined with maritime seaweed. On the palate, it delivers a robust wave of bonfire smoke beautifully balanced by rich honey and sea salt. The finish is elegantly long, reflecting the rugged coastal character of the Isle of Skye.
